MUZA FC goalkeeper Emmanuel Banda says he is looking forward to getting back to the full fitness so that he can help his side win their first ABSA Cup title.
In a match against Mufulira Wanderers in week eight, he made his debut for the Mazabuka-based team and kept a clean sheet.
At the start of the 2023–24 season, Banda was one of the young goalkeepers promoted from the junior squad.
Following the departure of Monga Ndala, the young goalkeeper has stepped up to become the number one choice for MUZA.
He has been out since December due to a strained muscle, which has kept him off the field for some time.
Prior to the injury, he played for the Elegant Dynamites in six games this season and kept five clean sheets.
Speaking to Bolanews in an exclusive interview, Banda said he looks forward to getting back to action so that he can help the team in the ABSA Cup tournament.
“Just working hard and discipline, hopefully I can be back to help the team in the ABSA Cup,” he said.
