Chipolopolo Boys goalkeeper Victor Chabu could be on his way out of Nchanga Rangers after a four-year stint with the club, BolaNews has learnt.
Chabu joined Brave Nchanga Rangers in 2020 from Chambishi FC and has since become a household name in Chingola.
The former Chambishi FC shot-stopper has been outstanding in recent seasons, earning himself two senior national team call-ups.
Last season, Chabu played a crucial role in helping the team avoid relegation, putting in a series of strong performances as Nchanga Rangers finished 11th with 42 points.
Despite Nchanga Rangers being eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2024 ABSA Cup, Chabu walked away with silverware of his own after being named Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
However, a close source to the player disclosed to BolaNews that Chabu is likely to leave Nchanga before the new season begins.
“He has been talking to some teams, but we are yet to conclude. We are just waiting for the club that will meet the player’s demands; then he will move. Nchanga are also pushing to ensure they renew the player’s contract,” said the source.
Meanwhile, Chabu has attracted interest from Kabwe Warriors, Nkana, Red Arrows, and Zesco United.
Chabu’s contract is set to expire in October 2025.
