Mufulira Wanderers player John Chilangwa has signed a two-year, six-month contract extension.
John joined Mufulira Wanderers during the 2023/24 mid-season from Jumulo FC and penned a one year deal.
Last season, played seven games and was instrumental in helping the team survive relegation and bounce back to the MTN Super League.
In the current campaign , the former Jumulo fc left back has featured in 14 matches scoring one goal and providing two assists so far.
Speaking after signing his contract, John committed to give his best to the Club.
“Playing for the team I grew up watching is a wonderful opportunity. This is my hometown, I always aim to give the best for this huge Club, it was an easy decision to make to extend the contract especially with the love and support I have received from supporters ever since I signed,” he said.
“I appreciate you all, I know so well what football means to the people of Mufulira and many others beyond who love this team. It’s a very big Club, it’s huge. Have grown up watching and supporting the team,” added John.
Mufulira Wanderers will face Forest Rangers in their week 15 fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in their quest to continue on their winning streak.
