Chambishi on Sunday lost their fifth consecutive game to sit second from the bottom with 28 points in 29 games.
They suffered a 6-1 defeat to league leaders Power Dynamos at the Authur Davies stadium in Kitwe.
With five games to go before the close of the season, the club has sacked their head coach Willngton Mujembe.
He has since been replaced with experienced coach Danny Kabwe who will be in charge for their remaining games.
Chambishi F.C. announced on their Facebook page that they replaced Mujembe with Kabwe on an interim basis.
“Chambishi Football club have gone on mutual separation with coach Wellington Mujembe. We wished him success. Danny Kabwe will be the interim coach for the next five games,” reads the club statement.
Mujembe took over the team as an interim head coach after Kaunda Simonda was sent on administrative leave on October 26th, last year.
He leaves the club with a record of six victories, one draw, and two losses.
In the remaining matches against, Napsa Stars, Zesco United, Kansanshi Dynamos, Kabwe Warriors and Buildcon, they will need at least 9 points from the possible 15 to stand a realistic chance of remaining in the top flight.
This will also be dependent on the results of other matches involving teams that are in the bottom half of the table.
