If Konkola Blades keep up their strong play in season, their head coach Beston Chambeshi thinks they can avoid relegation.
With four games remaining before the season ends, Blades are now ranked 30th on the standings with 35 points.
In their Week 30 fixture away at Ndola’s Doha Hill Stadium on Saturday, Blades forced a nil-all draw against home side Forest Rangers.
Since joining Sharp Blades of November, Last year, Chambeshi has been impressive helping the team jump out of relegation waters.
Reacting to the result, Chambeshi said he was happy with the team’s result as they faced a tough side.
“I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game playing Forest Rangers at Dolahill stadium, they prepared very well you could see in the first half they came out to have a goal but am happy with the way my defenders had to hold them, which is good, “he said.
The former Power Dynamos, Nkana, Lumwana Radiants and Zambia U-23 boss is confident the team will survive relegation.
“We will remain in ZSL”- Chambishi.
“12 points I think if you can pick points from the four matches remaining, we will be on a safe side and that’s our aim. For sure we are going to fight and push our boys so that we remain in the Super league,” he said.
Ahead of their clash with bottom placed on the log Trident FC, Chambeshi is confident of picking up a victory.
“We are in the same boat with Trident so I think there is no underrating them, of late they have picked some few points and one good thing they are coming at home so we will have to use all the tricks so that we collect maximum points,” concluded the coach.
