Red Arrows maintained the lead in the MTN Super League on Saturday despite dropping points at home after drawing 1-1 with Forest Rangers at the Nkoloma stadium.
Forest Rangers opened the scoring lines in the 66th minute through Libamba Moyela but just when they thought it was all over the Ndola-based side bowed down to pressure from the Airmen who found an equalizer in the 88th minute through 42-year-old striker James chamanga who rescued a point for the defending Champions.
Meanwhile, second-placed Prison Leopards FC managed to beat F.C MUZA 1-2 at Nakambala stadium with goals from David Obashi and Landu Miete enough to condemn the Mazabuka side to their first home defeat this season.
In Kitwe, at Arthur Davies stadium, Green Buffaloes got back to winning ways as they defeated Power Dynamos 0-1 through a Golden Mashata goal in the 11th minute.
It rained goals at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola as Zesco United thrashed their city rivals Buildcon 3-2.
Mukuka Chanda put Zesco United ahead in the 11th minute before Collins sikombe doubled the lead and immediately after the halftime break, Clement Mwape added the icing on the cake with a third goal.
Buildcon got their consolation goals through Jonathan Manongo and Chola as their losing nine-match losing streak continues.
In Choma, Green Eagles suffered their first home defeat this season when they lost 0-2 to Chambishi.
Andy Boyeli scored a brace in the 38th and 70th minute to hand Chambishi 3 points and hopes of escaping the relegation zone.
Zanaco FC also recorded a win 1-2 win over Napsa stars at the Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka.
Moussa Souleymanou put the Bankers in the lead with only 15 minutes played before Napsa’s Keagan Zulu equalised in the 34th minute.
Substitute Chite Mweshi was however the difference as he scored home the winning goal in the 80th minute to secure victory for the Bankers.
