Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has announced the sacking of head coach Boyd Mulwanda today.

The club says it has “parted ways” with the coach, “following a poor run of results since the beginning of the season.”

Mulwanda, who joined the club in January 2022, has only managed one win this season and left the club in the bottom four in the league standings with nine points from ten matches.

In the club statement, Kansanshi said, “The change has been done in the interest of both parties for future growth and achievements.

The club also confirmed that first assistant coach Donwell Yobe will be in charge as interim head coach.

The Northwestern-based club will take on leaders Kabwe Warriors this afternoon in a middle-week Super League fixture at the Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.

Meanwhile, Mulwanda has become the second coach in the Zambian Super League to be sacked after Beston Chambeshi, who was sent on a forced administrative leave by Nkana FC.

Four other coaches resigned: Albert Kachinga and Chris Kaunda at Prsion Leopards.
Ian Bakala at Forest Rangers to join Nkana.
