Nkana FC legend Kenneth Malitoli has called for patience following the team’s bad start to the Super League campaign this season.
Nkana, the record title holders, sit in the relegation zone with 4 points from a possible 21.
The team was hoping to pick up its first win when they played against Mutondo Stars, but the match ended in a scoreless draw.
In an interview, Malitoli said results need patience.
“Some times when you are having a bad patch, what you need is just patience…and when you get that first win, it can unlock some momentum,” he said.
Malitoli said he understands the pressure at Nkana.
“You know the expectation is always high at Nkana, so when you go on a run without wins, everyone looks on their shoulders, but some times we have to be patient,” he said.
Nkana have a chance to reorganise themselves after the international break.
They have a tough run of fixtures that will see them face Green Eagles, rivals Mufulira Wanderers, Red Arrows, and Power Dynamos.
