Idris Mbombo’s goal in the 65th minute was sufficient to give Nkana FC all three points against Green Buffaloes at Nkana Stadium on Saturday.
Despite the defeat, their second this season, Green Buffaloes head coach Aggrey Chiyangi picked out positives from his side’s narrow 1-0 defeat away to 13-times, Zambian Champions, in a Week Three fixture.
“There are a lot of positives that are coming out from the team,” Chiyangi said in a post-match interview.
“It’s a tough game that we played. We couldn’t utilize the chances that we had.”
Chiyangi, who joined Buffaloes at the start of the season after leaving Nkwazi, added that the game also revealed areas that need strengthening.
“There are certain weaknesses that are being exposed, which is very good for us so that we can build the team on those weaknesses,” he said.
Buffaloes, who lost 2-1 at home to Power Dynamos on matchday two, have now suffered back-to-back defeats.
“Despite losing here, there’s big improvement from the game that we played against Power. We have seen some positives in the team and in individual players,” he said.
