Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba hopes his team will replicate their current form in upcoming fixtures in order to avoid relegation this season.
On Saturday at Sunset Stadium, Zanaco came from a goal down to beat Zesco United 2-1 in a Week 27 fixture.
The bankers have now managed to win three games in a row in their previous three matches.
The victory saw Zanaco move to 12th place with 32 points and have now revived their hopes of surviving relegation.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba said the victory was vital for the team to survive relegation.
“A very important victory that we have gotten against Zesco United. The boys showed resilience and managed to get the two goals,”he said.
“As Technical Bench we expect to see the same performance and improve on what we have seen today. I think from the time we came the team has shown signs of improvement, ”said Numba.
The former Konkola blades midfielder called on the players to remain focused in the remaining matches.
“We need to win more games that will push us out completely of the relegation zone,”added Numba.
Zanaco will face Napsa Stars on Thursday this week as they keep fighting to survive relegation.
