Following their divorce last year, former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and internationally renowned musician Shakira have continued to send subliminal messages to each other.
In her new release titled “BZRP Music Sessions #53,” produced by Bizarrap, the singer says: “A she-wolf like me isn’t for rookies. A she-wolf like me isn’t for guys like you. I was out of your league, and that’s why you’re with someone just like you. I’m worth two (22-year-olds). You traded a Ferrari for Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”
These statements appear to be about Pique’s alleged relationship with Clara Chia Marti, a 23-year-old lady who is nearly half Shakira’s age. The lady, who is reportedly a public relations student living in Barcelona, does not have the same public profile as his ex-wife.
Shakira’s new single has been making the rounds on social media and other digital platforms, and it has already broken records on streaming platform YouTube, where it has received over 120 million views in just four days.
However, Pique was quick to respond, appearing on live video at a Kings League event with a Casio watch on his wrist before claiming he and the Japanese electronic manufacturing company had agreed on a sponsorship deal.
This was seemingly aimed at Shakira following comparisons of herself and his new girlfriend to Rolex and Casio watches, respectively.
After his ex-wife compared a Ferrari to a Twingo, the retired Spanish defender showed up to another Kings League event on Sunday driving a Twingo car.
The two were married to each other for more than 10 years after they met at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa before they split up in June 2022 following allegations that the Spaniard was unfaithful to the Colombian superstar.
