In December 2021, former Barcelona and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero who was forced to retire at age 33 suffered a minor heart arrhythmia on a live stream.
Aguero was forced to retire from playing football after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia. He was subsequently fitted with a pacemaker to ensure he could monitor such incidents in the future.
On Wednesday, he appeared surprised to experience a recurrence of his heart condition. He was hosting a live Twitch session with renowned Spanish streamer Ibai Lianos when it happened.
Aguero said he felt a minor heart arrhythmia occur, as per Express report. He then informed Llanos who was next to him as it happened.
During the stream, Llanos asked Aguero, “What’s happening? Are you ok?”
And Aguero replied that he was waiting for the arrhythmia to pass: “I think I just had a mini-heart arrhythmia,” he said.

According to medical experts, heart arrhythmia causes the heart to beat too fast, too slow, or irregularly.
Llanos asked the Argentinean if he wanted to go see the doctor for medical attention, but a calm and relaxed Aguero declined.
He said, “No, because I have a chip… And the famous chip will detect it and send a signal.”
Since retiring, the former Manchester City forward has had no serious heart problems. With a device in his chest, he appears to be living a happy life.
Mwepu, who is also living with a pacemaker device in his chest like Aguero, was told to remove it by a pastor
The story is, however, different for former Brighton and Hove Albion FC midfielder Enock Mwepu, who was also forced to retire from playing football after being diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition in October last year.
The former Zambian international who retired at age 24 is still seeking solutions for his heart condition.
He was recently at a church in South Africa, where it is thought that he went to seek divine intervention.
But what has startled many is that Mwepu was told to remove the defibrillator that was inserted in his chest.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the former Zambian international was seen narrating to Pastor John Anosike of New World Faith Ministries Church in Cape Town, South Africa, how his heart condition began.
Mwepu said he was on a plane and was given a sweet to eat by a friend, and it was shortly after he ate the sweet that he collapsed.
“A friend just gave me a sweet, and then from there I just collapsed and I had heart palpitations.”

However, upon hearing Mwepu’s narration, Pastor Anosike prayed for me and declared him healed, adding that he was poisoned.
“You need to go back and ask them to remove that iron [defibrillator],” Mwepu was told. “You are free and no more palpitations, God bless you.”
Just like Aguero, Mwepu now lives with a device in his chest that prevents heart palpitations.
