“Partnership Brings Tremendous Value” – ZPL
The collaboration between the ZPL and Eden University represents a step forward in the promotion of women’s football, with the sponsorship expected to have a significant impact on the league’s future, as it has not had a sponsor since its inception.
“With this partnership between ZPL and Eden University, we now have an even greater opportunity to build on these successes [by women’s teams] and elevate the women’s Super League to the next level. This partnership brings tremendous value, not only to the league but to the players, coaches, and fans who are so passionate about women’s football,” said ZPL Chairman Mr. Kephas Katongo.
Dr. Alvert Ng’andu, Vice-Chancellor of Eden University, also spoke about the university’s dedication to supporting sports initiatives, particularly those aimed at empowering women.
“Eden University Women’s League sponsorship agreement, which will span from 2024 to 2027, represents more than just a partnership. It is a shared commitment to the development and empowerment of young people and to creating pathways for success through education and sports.”
