Zesco Ndola Girls maintained their lead in the Zambia Women’s Super League with a 6-0 victory over Play It Forward.

As of week five of the Women’s League season, Zesco remains unbeaten.

Last season, they finished second after failing to catch up with the Green Buffalo women’s team, who won the championship.

However, this time around, the Ndola-based team appears more determined to compete for the league title, as they currently lead the table with 15 points from five games.

Head coach William Zulu told Bolanews that his team will not give up as they still have a long way to go in the league.

“It’s a plus and a sweet victory,” he said. “It’s a morale booster for us, but we still have a long way to go and we can’t relax,” said the coach.

Zesco will host Nkwazi Queens at Trade Fair grounds in a week six encounter as they continue to seek their first-ever league title.
