Zambian champions Zesco Ndola Girls have been drawn in Group A for the 2025 COSAFA | CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier.

The tournament will run from August 22 to 31, with only the overall winner securing a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Zesco, who clinched their first-ever Eden University Women’s Super League title last season, will face a tough challenge in Group A against two-time continental champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa — winners in 2021 and 2023. Also in the group are Ntopwa FC of Malawi and Namibia’s Beauties FC.

Group B features last year’s regional runners-up Gaborone United from Botswana, alongside Young Buffaloes FC of Eswatini and Kick4Life WFC from Lesotho.

In Group C, Zimbabwe’s Herentals Queens will go up against Clube de Desportos da Costa do Sol of Mozambique and Olympic de Moroni of Comoros.

The top team from each group, along with the best-ranked second-placed side, will advance to the semifinals.

Zesco Ndola Girls will be making their debut in the regional qualifiers, having gone unbeaten last season to dethrone Green Buffaloes Women’s FC as Zambian champions.
