The Zambia Women’s National Team has been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Senegal and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Copper Queens, who finished third in the 2022 edition, have been drawn into a tough group, but they will rely on the in-form Orlando Pride striker Barbra Banda, who could make her tournament debut after missing the previous edition.

Defending champions South Africa, have been placed in Group C alongside Ghana, Mali and Tanzania while eleven-time winners, Nigeria are in Group B with Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana.

The 12-team tournament ran from July 2 to July 23, 2022, but the Confederation of African Football postponed it this year to avoid conflicting with the 2024 Paris Olympics, which took place from July 25 to August 10.

The tournament’s 13th edition will now be held in Morocco from July 5–26, 2025.

South Africa’s Banyana Banyana are the defending champions after winning the title in Morocco in 2022.
