With 37 points, four points behind log leaders, Green Buffaloes Women’s FC, William Zulu, head coach of Zesco Ndola Girls, says his club is committed to winning the Women’s Super League again.
The defending champions will need to win two games and hope the Green Buffaloes drop points in their upcoming fixtures to reclaim the top slot.
In a week 16 league fixture, Zesco Ndola Girls beats Green Eagles 4-1.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Zulu said, “It was a tough game, very tricky for us, but we stuck to our plan; we pressed them, and then yes, we went ahead and scored more goals,”
Coach Zulu further highlighted that his team is on a serious mission.
“Our players know what is at stake, so for me it’s hard work and teamwork. So I am very happy for this victory, and we have to go ahead and win the other games in the upcoming fixtures, though I know it will be tricky,” he said.
The Zesco Ndola Girls boss acknowledged his team won’t have it easy this season.
“As I always say in this season, Zesco Girls will face tough games because we are the defending champions, so every game will not be easy for us to win. The only way is to work hard and score and pick positive results; that’s it,” added the coach.
Zesco Ndola Girls will face Kamfinsa Blue Eagles Queens in an away fixture on Sunday in what serves to be the last game of the first half of the 2025-26 season.
