Here is everything you need to know about the match between World cup bound, the copper queens of Zambia and their East African counterparts, Tanzania.

Before this match today, Bruce Mwape’s side was on the receiving end against South Korea with an aggregate defeat of 10-2 in two friendly matches played in Seoul. The outcome was a reflection of the Copper Queens weaknesses in defense. With an addition of Lisa Cole as the new technical advisor, fans will hope for a change in fortunes.

Prior to her arrival, she was the former Fiji Women’s National Team head coach. Her vast knowledge and experience will most certainly come in handy.

Zambia and Tanzania have met eight times and among them Zambia has three wins 3 over Tanzania. The Twiga Stars only have one win over the Copper Queens, and both have drawn four times in their last eight encounters.

Player to watch.
Rachel Kundananji (Zambia) – With 27 goals to her name, she’s Madrid CFF’s top scorer in the just ended campaign. She will most certainly be the one to cause havoc for the Tanzanian defense should she play.

Tanzania plays as a unit, not much is known about their player to watch but along with the U17s winning the Cosafa Championship in 2020, Tanzania also lifted the senior title in 2021.
