The Copper Queens will clash with Morocco tonight in an international in Rabat ahead of the 2023 Cosafa Cup and 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifiers.
The team will be without the likes of Grace Chanda, who is still recovering from an illness, Magret Belemu, Agness Musesa, and Ximara Mapape.
Copper Queens’ Olympic record breaker Barbra Banda and Spain-based striker Racheal Kundananji, who scored 33 goals across all competitions last season, will star the team tonight.
Kundananji told FAZ media that the two friendlies they will play against Morocco should be taken seriously.
“I am excited to meet with the team after the World Cup. We have to take the two games seriously and focus. We have a big task ahead of us, and our target is to win the two matches,” said Kudananji.

She added, “The games will help us know where we are lacking so that we can improve. The coaches will be using these same games to pick players that will play in the qualifying matches.”
The Madrid CFF forward stated that the Copper Queens has gained enough experience having participated in the Olympics and the World Cup
“We have been to all the big tournaments, so we are ready to return and perform better this time around,” she concluded.
The 2023 Cosafa Women’s Championship, which will run from October 4–15, 2023,
Following the COSAFA, the Copper Queens will turn their attention to the second round of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers, where they will play Mali in a two-leg matchup in November.
