Kundananji, Barbra, Chanda, Musonda, and Copper Queens nominated for the CAF Awards

CAF has revealed the list of nominees for the women's categories for the 2023 CAF Awards set to be held in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 11, 2023.

The Zambia Women’s National Team has been nominated for the CAF Team of the Year Award, while Barbra Banda, Racheal Kundananji, and Grace Chanda have been nominated for Player of the Year awards.

Following her impressive performance at the World Cup, Catherine Musonda has also been nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Musonda has since become the first Zambian female goalkeeper to be nominated for a CAF award.

CAF has for the first time introduced the African Goalkeeper of the Year category for both men and women.

The CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, head coaches, and captains of member associations and clubs involved in the group stages of the interclub competitions will vote to determine the overall winner of each category.
