Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club defeated Choma Warriors Academy with a resounding victory on Saturday at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, earning them the first Carling Black Label Samuel “Zoom” Ndhlovu Charity Shield for 2024–25.
The previous season, Green Buffaloes defeated ZISD Women 2-0 in the 2023–24 season’s last game to win the FAZ Women’s Super League title for a record fourth time in a row.
Nyanta Girls, the Winners of 2023/2024 Zambia Super League National Women’s Super-Division season were up against, Choma Warriors, the Winners of the 2023-2024 FAZ Women’s National Division One League season.
Buffaloes hit newly promoted Women’s Super League side Choma Warriors 10-0 with Maylan Mulenga and Vanessa Chikupila hitting a hattrick each.
Chikupila found the net in the 3rd minute, again in the 19th minute, and then completed her hat-trick in the 71st.
Maylan Mulenga also was on target for the Nyanta Girls in the 30th,41st and 64th minute to secure a hattrick of her own.
The Warriors’ defense failed to withstand the pressure from Buffaloes allowing Thanda Mokgabo, Memory Nthala, and Natasha Nanyangwe to score as well., just to make sure nobody was left out.
