Spanish women’s league side Madrid CFF rejected a near-world record £400,000 bid for Rachael Kundananji from a National Women’s Soccer League club, according to Spanish outlet Marca.
The bidders fell short of Kundananji’s £700,000 release clause, which is present in her current Madrid CFF contract expiring in 2026.
She won the GOAL 50 Women’s Player of the Year after scoring 35 goals for club and country in 2023 finishing as runners-up in the Spanish Liga F Golden Boot race.
