Agnes Fabiola Banda, goalkeeper for Nchanga Rangers Queens, hopes to help her team’s standing in the Women’s division and keep more clean sheets.
After her contract with TP Mazembe expired, the former National Assembly goaltender became a free agent and joined the Queens in January 2024.
During her stay at TP Mazembe, she featured in 24 matches, kept 22 clean sheets and only allowed three goals.
Banda was also part of the 2022 Copper queens Cosafa winning squad.
Since joining the Queens she has only played in two games against Yasa and Zanaco Ladies where the team lost 3-2.
Speaking in an interview, Agnes Fabiola Banda said her target is to keep more clean sheets.
“I want to try and keep as many clean sheets as possible and as a team to win as many games as possible that are remaining and also try and maintain a stay in the top eight“
“You know it’s not easy for a team that has recently been promoted into the Super league, but right now being in the top eight is really a big achievement,”said Banda.
34 points from 24 games—10 wins, 4 ties, and 10 losses—Nchanga Rangers Queens are currently in eighth place.
