Copper Queens midfielder Elizabeth Mupeso has left Elite Ladies to join Zesco Ndola Girls ahead of the upcoming Zambian Women’s Super League season.

Elite Ladies have announced that their deal with Zesco for the player is worth K15,000.

“Master Dribbler Elizabeth Mupeso, who joined The Elite Ladies FC in 2020 from Green Eagles Women’s Football Club for K2,000, has joined ZESCO Ndola Girls in a deal worth K15,000,” the club said in a statement on Thursday.

Mupeso began her career with Chibolya Queens before joining Nkwazi Queens. She was also a member of the Lusaka Schools provincial team as well as the national U13 and U17 teams.

Mupeso has played 10 games for the Copper Queens, scoring three goals and four assists.

She also played in five matches and scored two goals at the 2022 Cosafa, helping the Copper Queens win bronze.

Mupeso is expected to face her former team, Elite Ladies, in the 2024/25 Women’s National League opener against Zesco Ndola Girls at Woodlands Stadium, on Friday.
