The two Italian titans take a brief break from Serie A action to compete in the 234th Derby della Madonmina but this time for the Super cup.

Inter has won the derby 85 times, while AC Milan has won it 79 times, and there have been 69 draws between the two.

However, this will be their second meeting in the Supercoppa, with the first derby in Italy’s Super Cup competition dating back to August 2011, when the Rossoneri won 2-1 with goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kevin Prince Boateng, while Inter scored through Wesley Sneijder.

Inter are the defending champions and will compete in the competition for the eleventh time, having been crowned champions six times, while AC Milan are seven-time winners of the cup.

In 1988, AC Milan won the first edition of the Supercoppa. They have been a regular at the final ever since winning the trophy in 1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, 2004, 2011, and 2016.

Inter, on the other hand, are only Supercoppa trophy behind their rivals having won it six times in 1989, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2022. They were also runners-up four times, in 2000, 2007, 2009, and 2011.

The Milan derby in tonight’s final adds to the excitement. Inter Milan, the defending champions who have won four of their last five matches and only drawn one, will undoubtedly be looking to repeat their victory from last year, especially since AC Milan has only won one of their last five matches and are seeming struggling for form though they emerged victorious in their last meeting in Serie A with a 3-2 win over the I Nerazzurri.

BETTING TIP AND ODDS

BET: Inter Milan to win with 3 or more total goals in the match at 90′ minutes.

Odds: 4.63
