Zambian international Lameck Banda will miss US Lecce‘s Serie A match against Genoa today due to a thigh injury, the club has announced.

The club says an IMR scan has established that the 22-year-old winger suffered a first-degree injury to the flexors of the right thigh

“US Lecce announces that footballer Lameck Banda underwent an MRI scan at the Quarta Colosso Radiology Studio in Lecce, which highlighted a first-degree injury to the flexors of the right thigh,” read the club statement.

Banda was part of the team that drew 1-1 away to Monza last Sunday, which sent them into fourth place in the league standings.

US Lecce have yet to lose a Serie A match this season, having won twice and drawn twice, with Banda starting all of them.

The duration of the Chipolopolo winger’s injury recovery is unknown, as his club has yet to announce it.
