After missing Zambia’s international friendly games against Egypt and Uganda due to injury, winger Lameck Banda has returned to normal training with his club, US Lecce.
Banda missed four Serie A matches as he was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Lecce announced on Thursday that the Chipolopolo winger trained with the rest of the team.
His return to training serves as motivation for Lecce, who lost two of the four games they played without him, as they prepare to face Udinese on Monday.
The 22-year-old winger has been in brilliant form this season, having featured in four games and providing two assists.
Lecce has yet to lose a match with Banda playing. Out of the four he was part of, they drew and won twice, respectively.
Meanwhile, two weeks ago, he told BolaNews that he would return to action after the international break.
Lecce is currently ninth in the log standings with 12 points from eight matches played. They will look to enter the top six.
Banda will hope to be fit for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches next month.
The Chipolopolo Boys will host Congo Brazzaville on November 15, 2023, before traveling to Niger two days later.
