Zambian international winger Lameck Banda scored his second goal of the season in the Italian Serie A with a long-range strike on Monday night.
He scored the only goal for Lecce in the 64th minute, but their lead was erased seven minutes later when Hamz Rafia scored an own goal to tie the game at 1-1 with Empoli.
It was the 2022-year-old speedy winger’s second goal of the season in eleven matches played so far, out of which he started ten.
Banda has also provided three assists, making him one of the youngest players with the most goal involvement so far in Serie A this season.
His performance last night drew praise from fans all over the world, with Serie A’s X official handler describing him as a “speed demon” who is “quite impossible to contain.”
Meanwhile, Lecce’s draw with Empoli was their fourth in a row. They are now 13th in the league standings with 17 points after round 15.
