Manchi Janza, a former Lusaka Dynamos coach, will succeed George Chilufya as head coach of Trident Football Club, the club revealed.
Janza has signed a one year deal with an option to extend depending on his performance with the North-Western based side.
After a disappointing 2024-25 season, Janza is expected to earn The Conquerors, promotion to the Zambian Premier Super League.
He has held the positions of head coach and assistant coach for Lusaka Dynamos and Forest Rangers, respectively.
Arnold Malisawa will serve as assistant coach, Graven Chitalu, physical trainer and Isaac Shimoko as goalkeeper coach.
Club CEO Mvula Mangulenje expressed his belief that the new coach will lead the squad to greater success in his remarks on his appointment.
“Coach Janza fits well with our project and vision. We are confident he will lead the team in the right direction as we work towards Super Division promotion and focus on player development. The Club will fully support him in this journey,”said Mangulenje.
Pre-season has already seen Janza join the team as they get ready for the new campaign.
