Newly appointed Ndola United head coach Tenant Chembo is confident of steering the club to promotion into the MTN Super League in the upcoming season.
Chembo, who was officially unveiled by the club’s executive on Friday last week, joins the ZPL National League side with a clear mandate — to guide the team to top-flight football.
Bringing a wealth of coaching experience to the role, Chembo has previously led several top-tier Zambian clubs, including Zesco United, Forest Rangers, Mufulira Wanderers, Buildcon, and most recently, Indeni FC.
Chembo has expressed optimism about the team’s chances and called for collective effort from all stakeholders to achieve their Super League ambitions.
“The team has been doing well and I think my coming in is to just try and help the team realize its goals. We will try as much as we can to push for the realization of the goals that the team set,” said Chembo.
He added: “I believe that with the support from the Executive, the Players, the Supporters, the dreams will be realised.”
Ndola United finished the previous season in the ZPL National League in 12th place with 40 points, 16 points off the promotion spots, and will be banking on Chembo’s experience to play in the top-tier league.
The experienced gaffer previously guided Indeni Football Club to MTN Super League promotion and will be aiming to repeat the feat.
