Last season, the 1998 Zambian Super League Champions, Nchanga Rangers, were dropped to lower league football.
The club boasts of having produced great players among them, current Chipolopolo boys assistant Coach Moses Sichone.
Following their stay in National division One league this season, Nchanga Rangers the current log leaders have been impressive amassing 41 points from 19 matches played so far.
National Assembly will visit Nchanga this Saturday in a week 20 match that will take place at Nchanga Stadium. Last weekend, Nchanga recorded a 2-0 victory over Mpulungu Youth Football Club.
Laurent Ntambwe, a midfielder for Rangers, stated to the Club’s media prior to the game that the club appears prepared to take on National Assembly in their pursuit of the league title.
“Preparations are going on well and we are looking forward to the National Assembly game on Saturday.
“We need to finish the league as league leaders this season and we will work extra hard as a team to achieve this goal,”
Meanwhile, the 1998 Zambian Champions became the first National Division One team to secure a berth for the 2024 ABSA Cup after a great run.

The midfielder from Congo expressed gratitude for the team’s ABSA Cup qualification.
“Am happy that the team made it to the prestigious ABSA Cup,”
Ntambwe, who came to Rangers from Racing Club Katanga Stars at the start of the 2023–24 season, has been instrumental in keeping the team’s winning streak going.
