Zeddy Saileti, head coach of Kansanshi Dynamos, feels his team was unable to play to their full ability because of the artificial surface at Kitwe’s Baluba field, which serves as Jumulo FC’s home ground.
Dynamos have won sixteen games, drawn 10, and lost three thus far this 2024-25 season.
On Sunday afternoon, Kansanshi and Jumulo FC fought to a goalless draw in their week 29 match.
Despite numerous chances, the Mabanga Boys could not convert their chances into goals leading to an away draw.
In response to the outcome, Saileti said that his team’s usage of an artificial surface prevented them from playing.
“First and foremost I didn’t expect the performance we displayed today on the artificial pitch because we have been struggling to play on the artificial pitch.
“But today from the word go we played well and controlled the game and I feel we would have carried the day because we created more chances compared to Jumulo,”said the coach.
Saileti has no doubt that his team will make the most of their home advantage and collect maximum points in remaining fixtures.
“We have to accept this is football, but we have two home games it’s not easy but we just need to prepare well so that we collect the maximum points,”added Saileti.
With 58 points from 29 games, the Conquerors are in second place, two points behind league leaders Konkola Blades, who have 60 points.
In a Week 30 fixture, Kansanshi Dynamos will host Young Green Buffaloes at Solwezi Independence Stadium.
