Nchanga Rangers FC second assistant coach Isreal Mwanza says his side is aiming to secure a victory when they face Green Buffaloes FC in an MTN Super League encounter at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka on Saturday.
The Chingola-based side currently sits third on the table with 13 points, just two ahead of their weekend opponents, Green Buffaloes, who are in fifth place with 11 points.
A win for Brave Rangers could see them move closer to the top of the standings as the race for early-season dominance heats up.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Mwanza said the team is eager to continue its strong start to the season.
“Our preparation is going very well,” Mwanza said. “We are playing a Buffaloes team that is very determined in the Super League. It won’t be an easy game, but we are ready to push and get a positive result.”
He emphasized the importance of focus and determination, particularly as Rangers play away from home.
“The message to the boys is simple—we are playing an away game, and we must push to get a positive result to move into the first position. The expectation is to go there and get maximum points, nothing else.”
Mwanza also urged the club’s Lusaka-based supporters to turn up in large numbers to rally behind the team.
“Our supporters in Lusaka should come and show their support. The morale from the fans is very important for the boys,” he said.
