The FAZ National Division One Playoff’s sponsors, Fredrobie Concept Zambia, intend to extend an invitation to a European club to join them as a guest team in the playoffs the next season.

Since the company and the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) signed a collaboration deal in November of last year, every side competing in the National Division One playoffs has received K100,000 ($4,000) as their prize.

FAZ and the marketing firm will split all playoff-related expenses, such as match organization, officiating fees, security, and other relevant costs.

The proposal to invite a European club to the National Division One playoffs is scheduled to be implemented in the 2025 season, according to Stanley Kasiya, Chief Executive Officer of Fredrobie.

“If we don’t manage to bring at least a team from Europe, Asia, or any other, we can at least bring one of the active sports athletes, whom the young and the old will have something to talk about.”

Kasiya reveals that this will also help market Zambia as a pre-season destination for reputable clubs from Africa and across the globe.
