Striker Clive Biyeta,22, who is in good form, is focused on achieving his goal of 24 goals for Mighty Mufulira Wanderers in the national league.

Biyeta has scored 19 goals in 30 matches, providing seven assists. He which has seen the legendary Cup fighters, a point away from bouncing back to the super league.

In his first season at Mufulira Wanderers, he has proved to be a dependable goal-poacher for the white and green side. The Mpongwe-born player is the current leading top scorer in the Zambian national league.

Biyeta revealed in an exclusive interview with Bolanews that he set himself a target to score 24 goals this season.

“I found quality players at Mufulira wanderers; this encouraged me to set a target of scoring 24 goals” he added.

In 2019, Biyeta scored 19 goals for Copperbelt provincial side, Luanshya United, a fate memorable to him.

“After leaving, Ibenga wolfs, I joined Luanshya United, I managed to score 19 goals in one season before earning a move to Kitwe United.”

“In the National League is the poor state of football pitches, negatively affects the passing style of Mufulira wanderers.” he said.

Asked if he is open to moving from Mufulira Wanderers, Biyeta reluctantly said that would depend on the offer.
