Zambia national division one side City of Lusaka Football Club is set to announce the appointment of Polish coach Slawomir Cisakowski as head coach of the City Yamoto first team, who will take over from Albert MPhande who reportedly refused to stay at the club as a co-coach.
Slawomir Cisakowski holds a UEFA A Licence and has extensive coaching as well as player development experience in Europe. He worked as the assistant head coach of Legia II Warszawa, the reserve team of the Polish Giant Legia Warsaw. Cisakowski has also served as Assistant Head Coach for the Polish club Olimpia Grudziądz.
According to information made available to Bolanews.co by the club, the appointment of the pooish coach is in line with the new direction City of Lusaka Football Club is taking to become an integral part of Zambia’s football development.
The club is seeking to make make significant investments in the development of youth players, as well as advance international relationships that will lead to successful trials and transfers of its players.
According to the club’s new general manager Benjamin Bush, the club has also planned to make efforts to prepare their players and staff for life after football with the necessary skills that will help .
“City of Lusaka Football Club will work with players to teach them financial skills such as budgeting, investing, and finance management. Furthermore, players will be educated on contracts and transfers to avoid them being exploited. Players will receive ongoing personal branding training to ensure that their personal brands are adding value to their futures.” he said.
Slawomir Cisakowski is now set to take over from Albert Mphande who reportedly turned down an offer to continue at City as associate Head Coach.
