Paris Saint-Germain(PSG) have confirmed their plans for Lionel Messi’s future, despite rumours that he could leave at the end of his contract in June.
His contract at PSG expires at the end of the season, and he has yet to sign a new one.
Following his rival Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has also been heavily linked with a move to the Middle East.

However, PSG Sporting Director Luis Campos has revealed that the club is in talks with the former Barcelona forward.
Campos said they are hoping to extend his stay at the club.
“At the moment, we are in discussions with Messi about his extension.” “I would like to keep him in this project; I can’t hide it,” he told Telefoot. “We are talking at the moment to achieve this goal and continue to have him with us.”
Messi has so far contributed 29 goals in 24 matches for the French champions across all competitions this season.
On Saturday, he scored the game-winning goal for PSG in their 2-1 win over Toulouse bringing his league total to 10 goals and 10 assists in 18 games this season.
