Kylian Mbappe and his Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) side defeated Pays de Cassel in the Round of 32 of the French Cup.
PSG were expected to defeat sixth-tier club Pays de Cassel, and they did not disappoint, winning 7-0 at the Bollaert-Delelis.
Mbappe scored five goals, while Neymar and Carlos Soler each had one to seal victory for the French champions.
The 2022 World Cup top scorer became the first player in PSG’s history to score five goals in a single match. He has now scored 25 goals in 24 appearances for the French giants and provided 6 assists so far this season.

After setting that record, Mbappe praised his team for remaining professional despite their low-ranked opposition.
“We are happy. We came here to qualify, to respect this team, and that’s what we did today,” he said.
Marseille will be PSG’s round-of-16 opponent, and the French star stated that their first priority will be their next league match. He added that they must prepare for their league match against Reims.
