Zambia Women’s National team coach Bruce has described the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup draws as fair.

Zambia’s Copper Queens were this morning drawn in group C along side Spain, Costa Rica and Japan during a draws ceremony held at the Aotea Centre in Auckland.

Reacting to the draws, Mwape says it’s a fair draw for Zambia and he was expecting that the Copper Queens were going to be drawn against big teams.

“I think it’s a fair draw, there is nothing which is complicated,”he said.

“Each tournament you go to, you except to meet big teams and like I normally say, for you to be a champion you need to beat the best.”

Mwape believes it’s time for Zambia to show the world that they have what it takes to beat any team.

“For me it’s the time to show the world that we can be any team.”

The Copper Queens will be participating in their first World Cup next year when the tournament kicks off on July 20th to August 20th in Australia and New Zealand.
