Due to injuries that will prevent some Chipolopolo players from playing in the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville and Niger, Israeli coach Avram Grant will focus on the players that are still available despite intense squad competition.

BolaNews takes a look at how the Chipolopolo trainer could potentially line 11 men for the opener against Congo this Friday.

Goalkeeper

Power Dynamos Lawrence Mulenga was a key figure towards the end of the AFCON Qualifiers, with outstanding performances against Ivory Coast and Comoros to finish top of Group H. For Francis Mwansa, the Green Buffaloes keeper, he rose to the ranks after helping the Chipolopolo defend the Senior COSAFA Championship.

Defence

With Frankie Musonda absent, Stophila Sunzu and Dominic Chanda will undoubtedly be summoned to marshal the central defence. Zephaniah Phiri and Rodrick Kabwe, expected to captain the team, with Lubambo Musonda, out will play as right- and left-wing backs.

Midfield

Emmanuel Banda and Larry Bwalya could be keen in holding positions while Klings Kangwa as the only attacking option in the sequence.

Upfront

Given that Edward Chilufya is in a strong position to be a contender for the starting eleven thanks to his impressive play at BK Hacken.
