In the Group E 2026 World Cup Qualifiers on Monday, Morocco’s head coach Walid Regragui has vowed to punish Zambia.
The Atlas Lions became the first African country to secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup tournament on Friday, after defeating Niger 5-0.
Morocco, top rated African side, will meet Zambia, the match which the Chipolopolo Boys want to win at all costs at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The North Africans have managed to win all their six World Cup Qualifiers.
At a press conference on Sunday, Regragui said his boys will make life difficult for Zambia.
“When we play for Morocco, we must always look for victory. The fans expect a lot from us,s, and we are here to make them happy,” he said.
“Zambians wants to prove their place in Africa. It will be a game,game, and we hope the fans enjoy a spectacle,” he added.
“We want to remain at the top in Africa and the world, and we will continue to work to meet the expectations of Moroccans,” noted,” noted the coach.
“Unlike what some believe, we have the strongest attack in the qualifiers. We scored more than 40 goals, which shows we have quality on the pitch,” concluded concluded the coach.
The Atlas Lions lead Group E with 18 points with two fixtures remaining.
