Assistant coach Zakariyaou Ibrahim revealed the list of 25 players selected to face Zambia and Congo Brazzaville.

“Almost all of the players who outclassed the Taifas Stars of Tanzania the previous day, except Issa Djibrilla is injured in the last championship game with his club FC Zira of Azerbaijan. Philippe Nouhou Boueye will also not be part of the game,” the Niger FA revealed on their Facebook page.

Niger will first play Congo in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on October 8, before traveling to Zambia to meet the Chipolopolo at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on October 12.

The first leg between these two ended 2-1 in favour of Niger in November 2023, with Leicester City forward Patson Daka scoring Zambia’s consolation goal after Amadou Moutari and Djibril Goumey put the Menas in the lead.
