Iran and the United States of America (USA) will play their final group-stage match tonight which will see either team qualify for the round of 16.
Iran will hope to remain in the competition after suffering a 6-2 defeat in their opening match to England and beating Wales 0-2 in their second match to rank third in the group with 3 points.
USA on the other hand are coming from a 0-0 draw with England and 1-1 against Wales in their opening match.
They will hope to get a victory in tonight’s game and seal qualification to the knockout stage.
The two sides have played once before at a world cup in the 1998 tournament which was held in France, with the USA losing 1-2 in the group stage.
Iran hasn’t had any problems with scoring goals, they have scored six goals in their last six matches and conceded 8 goals.
The return of Bayer Leverkusen striker Sardar Azmoun to the Iranian side gives them a more attacking threat, with Mehdi Taremi expected to also add more fire up front.
