Brazil, five-time World cup holders will in the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualification will face rival sides Bolivia and Peru respectively.
Gabriel Magalhaes, a center back, has been selected following his omission in the team for the 2022 World Cup in Brazil despite an impressive season with English side, Arsenal.
However, several fans have expressed concern about Magalhaes’ selection to the team.
But Brazil interim head coach Fernando Diniz feels he deserves a place in the squad because he has worked hard for it.
“Gabriel played 38 games as a starter for the team that almost won the title in the most difficult league in the World,” Diniz told reporters.
The Arsenal center back will be looking forward to winning his first ever cap for Brazil.

The 27-year-old defender has been instrumental for the gunners having helped them finish in the top two and secured qualification to the UEFA Champions League last season and will be hoping to replicate his Club form at the National team.
So far, he has played three matches for the gunners this season, though some reports were suggesting that he could be leaving Arsenal and heading to Saudi Arabia.

Brazil will play Bolivia on Sunday 9th September, before facing Peru on Wednesday 13th September 2023 in the World Cup qualifying matches.
