The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has shifted the dates of the annual general meeting from April to May in a bid to accord delegates time to interact with all the necessary documents.
On April 11, FAZ was set to stage its AGM, but the event has been moved to May 11.
In a notice dated February 22, 2026, FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande revealed that the decision was made to ensure key statutory and governance processes linked to the AGM documentation were met.
“This decision has been taken to safeguard the integrity of our governance processes and to ensure full compliance with the Constitution,” Shepande said in a statement released by the FAZ media. “It is important that our affiliates are afforded adequate time to scrutinise the audited financial statements and other statutory reports before the meeting.”
Shepande said all the relevant documentation would be circulated within the timelines prescribed by the Constitution.
“We regret any inconvenience the rescheduling may cause and thank stakeholders for their continued cooperation and commitment to maintaining strong institutional standards,” he said.
