Golden Mashata, a former midfielder for the Green Buffaloes, says his primary goal is to assist his new team, Hapoel Ranaana, in finishing in the top six of the league.
Mashata was also a member of Zambia’s U-20 national team, which won the 2019 COSAFA tournament.
He joined Hapoel Ranaana on loan from Green Buffaloes in July this year.
The Israeli-based team offered the midfielder a one-year contract with the possibility of an extension based on his performance.
The gifted midfield player has already appeared in three games, but he hasn’t contributed any goals so far.
Mashata stated in an exclusive interview with Bolanews that he has adapted well and is eager to assist the team in reaching its goal.
“Going on well, we are pushing each day. The target for the team is finishing in the top six and playing playoffs; my personal target is scoring and assisting as many as I can so that I help the team achieve its target,” said Mashata.
The former Green Buffaloes midfielder has only provided two assists in the cup games for his new side.
Meanwhile, Hapoel Ranaana are currently 11th placed with three points from three matches played, having won one game and lost two matches.
Hapoel will face Hapoel Kfar Shalem in their next fixture on Monday.
