After marching on to the summit of the English Premier League with 21 points out of a possible 24, perhaps it could be too early to say but Arsenal has continued to show why they should be strongly regarded as title contenders.

There is doubt that the Europa League has continued to be a platform where Mikel Arteta can provide chance for other players to play more minutes who did not disappoint but steered the gunners to a convincing victory.

Arsenal seem unstoppable at the moment with more options in their squad which could be a source of worry for the their opponents as the season unfolds.

In their Europa League match on Thursday night against the Norwegian side, Bodo/Glimt, saw the likes of Eddie Nketiah stealing the show despite not being a first-team player for the Gunners. He may have come in as a substitute in all the Premier League games but last night showed glimpses of why he’s capable of leading the line at Arsenal, giving Arteta more attacking options.

The number 14 did brilliantly to get his name on the scoresheet after finding himself in the right place at the time after the ball ricocheted off the woodwork after a strong left-footed effort from Tierney, the 22-year-old has now scored two goals in two matches in the Europa League.

Apart from scoring, the young lad showed a lot of desire and looked for the ball each time his side lost possession.

In the right-wing position, Marquinhos came into the starting lineup to rest Bakayo Saka, the Brazilian may have scored and assisted in his last start for the Gunners but in Thursday night’s showdown, the teenager had a dismal display as he couldn’t quite engineer a highlight in the game, Saka come in place of him in the scored half.

After suffering a series of injuries, Takehiro Tomiyasu has been forced to watch Arsenal’s games on the bench while making appearances as a substitute, the Japanese was back in the starting line up and had a splendid performance by doing just enough in defense and attack.

The scorer of Arsenal’s second goal has continued to give one hundred percent each time his been called into the starting lineup, Rob Holding showed why he can still be counted on as a formidable player at the back with an excellent performance.

But when the game was nearing its end, all eyes were on Fabio Vieira, if eyebrows were raised at the fee by those outside the club, the Portuguese International has continued to show signs of a man capable of starting every game after providing an assist for Rob Holding while doing brilliantly to score Arsenal’s third after neat footwork from substitute Gabriel Jesus.

Things seem to be looking up for Arteta’s men who will go into Sunday’s show down against Liverpool with a lot of confidence to remain on top on the Premier League as they are currently the league leaders with 21 points, a point above defending Champions, Manchester City.
