Daka came off the bench in the 62nd minute to score his second Premier League goal of the season with a cheeky back heal flick from a James Maddison low pass inside the 18-yard on Monday night, which added icing on the cake as the already dominant Leicester City, secured their first win of the season after convincingly thrashing the wasteful Nottingham Forest at the Kingpower Stadium.
The Bredan Rodgers coached side had gone 7 matches without a win and sat rock bottom of the table with a only a point before the Monday night victory.
The match also saw English Midfielder, Maddison score a brace for the foxes and Harvey Bernes also finding the back of the net for the City side that finally redeemed themselves after a string of poor results since the start of the season.
Meanwhile the President of Zambia was left astonished by Daka’s goal and took to social media to applause his compatriot for adding his name on the scorers chart.
Hichilema just like many described the goal as a great and urged the Leicester City based star to keep working hard and continue making Zambians proud.
He wrote on Daka’s Instagram comments section: “Great goal. Keep making us proud.”
Daka who was the first Zambian ever to score in the English Premier League was directly involved in 8 goals last season in 23 appearances in the English top flight and will look to increase his tally this season having already scored 2 goals and contributed with an assists in his first 7 matches.
The Chipolopolo forward has only made two starts so far this season in the English Premier League and will be hoping to get more game time as the season unfolds.
