Liverpool continued with their good form with a 1-0 over Fulham at Anfield on Wednesday night in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s side remained in fifth place, four points behind Manchester United in fourth, thanks to Mohammed Salah’s goal from the penalty spot.

The Egyptian now has 185 Liverpool goals, one less than Steven Gerrard, who is the club’s fifth all-time.

Salah has scored 18 goals in 34 appearances this season and provided seven assists. He is sitting fourth on the scorers chart, which Erling Haaland leads with a record 35 goals.

The Reds’ win over Fulham last night made it five games in a row, and their recent form suggests that consistency is returning to the Anfield side, but it appears that it is already too late to save the season.

Meanwhile, Klopp admitted that winning five games in a row was difficult for his team.

“Five wins in a row is super difficult. If it was easy, everybody would do it,” he said after the match. “We would have done it earlier. It feels like ages, ages, ages ago we did it.”

Klopp also praised goalkeeper, Allison Becker for a spectacular save, saying that the custodian has been the club’s most consistent player this season.

“Alisson was really touched that we kept a clean sheet tonight, it was that long ago he kept a clean sheet for us. Especially in that situation. For sure he is the most consistent player we have this season,” Klopp said.

Alisson has made 100 saves in the 2022/23 Premier League season, the first time he’s reached triple figures in a single campaign since joining Liverpool.

The Reds will host Brentford in their next fixture on Saturday with the aim to continue with their fine form.
