Manchester United downed Leeds 2-0 as Rashford continues to shine

After avoiding an embarrassing defeat against Leeds at Old Trafford by fighting back from two goals down in their first meeting this season, Manchester United traveled to Elland Road for their reverse fixture.

When it looked like the game was headed for another Premier League draw, Marcus Rashford scored a goal in the 80th minute, bringing his tally to 12 Premier League goals.

Soon after, the Red Devils got their second to put the game to bed through substitute Alejandro Garnacho in the 85th minute.

It was a perfect time to score for the visitors but a bad time for the home side to concede.

The weight of expectation was high for Erik ten Hag’s men, who delivered resoundingly.

United enjoyed the majority of the possession but couldn’t quite open up Leeds’ defense until the dying minutes.

Ten hag’s men are now third in the standings with 46 points and have gone seven matches unbeaten across all competitions.
